QUALIFICATIONS:  The applicant will meet the legal requirements for principals in Louisiana and possess a Master’s and or Advanced Degree in educational administration and required endorsements of Louisiana Department of Education (LDE) to lead a school. The applicant will perform administrative tasks which promote an exemplary educational program.

 

*Successfully demonstrate ability to work with diverse children in urban, secondary schools
* Minimum 5 years teaching experience with minimum 2 years as a principal

* Must have or be eligible to obtain Certification in the State of Louisiana as Principal or Educational 

   Leadership-Level I or  above
* Interpret and use benchmark assessment and other data sources to differentiate instruction in the classroom
* Strong instructional knowledge- instructional leader
* Data-driven decision maker
* Experience with Best Practice
* Strong experiences with technology- proficiency in Microsoft programs, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook, to

    name a few
* Ability to recognize good instruction based on current methods being used
* Experience in creating and sustaining a rigorous culture
* Success in promoting and increasing student achievement
* Knowledge of teacher evaluations and observation methods
* Knowledge of various instruction and teaching methodologies
* Excellent organizational, planning, and implementation skills
* Good interpersonal skills with students, parents, faculty, staff, and other stakeholders
* Knowledge of magnet programs- this school has an engineering focus

* Be able to successfully work in a collaborative environment
